DHL was the first Courier Company to be established in Botswana in September 1983 with its first office based at the Red Cross Center.

Since those early days with only 1 small office, DHL has grown from strength to strength. The Company prides itself with a total number of 2 offices, 11 agencies and 5 Express outlets to support the local network. The 11 agencies are located in Jwaneng, Kanye, Lobatse, Mahaplaye, Palapye, Selibe-Phikwe, Serowe, Orapa, Francistown, Kasane and Maun.

DHL Botswana employs a total of 50 locals and 2 expartriates. DHL further prides itself with a fleet that services all corners of Gaborone.

As well as being a key part of the DHL's Seven Values, accepting Social Responsibility is one of DHL Botswana’s core values. DHL Botswana supports and sponsors various charitable and community based organizations such as Lifeline, Childline, The UB Clinic, as well as The School of Disabled and Down Syndrome.
